While the 2big is compatible with both Windows 10 and macOS 10.12, it comes pre-formatted with the HFS+ file system for Mac users and is pre-configured with hardware-controlled RAID 0, which enhances performance but does not provide data redundancy. It also supports RAID 1 and JBOD configurations.

On the rear panel of the 2big, you'll find two Thunderbolt 3 ports, each capable of blazing 40 Gb/s data transfer rates, facilitating a swift connection with your host system at speeds of up to 550 MB/s. The Thunderbolt 3 interface further enables the connection of two 4K displays or a single 5K display, and it supports daisy-chaining with up to five additional Thunderbolt 3 peripherals. Additionally, there's a DisplayPort interface that accommodates displays ranging from 720p and 1080p to 4K and 5K resolutions.

On the front of the 2big, you'll discover a built-in USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, which serves as a charging point for your USB devices or as a connection point for USB drives and digital cameras for efficient file transfers. The dock also features CFexpress Type B, CFast 2.0, and UHS-II SDXC card slots, enabling you to directly import content from your drone, DSLR camera, GoPro, and other devices. With this docking station, you'll have the capacity to store a substantial amount of 4K video footage and a vast collection of raw images.
